End Of Sin/Hell
Who and what is hell for? If God is such a loving God, how can He suffer us to burn in hell FOREVER! Let’s explore…
Do The Wicked Suffer In Everlasting Fire?
Everlasting fire. – Matthew 25:41 – “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
Everlasting destruction. – Matthew 25:46 – “And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
Eternal damnation. – Mark 3:29 – “But he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness but is subject to eternal condemnation.”
Eternal fire. – Jude 7 – As Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
How Is The Word Forever Used Elsewhere In The Bible?
Slave to serve his master forever. – Exodus 21:6 – Then his master shall bring him to the judges. He shall also bring him to the door, or to the doorpost, and his master shall pierce his ear with an awl; and he shall serve him forever.
Samuel to abide in the tabernacle forever. – 1 Samuel 1:22 – But Hannah did not go up, for she said to her husband, “Not until the child is weaned; then I will take him, that he may appear before the Lord and remain there forever.”
Wicked to be totally consumed, with nothing left. – Malachi 4:1 – “For behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, and all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up,” says the Lord of hosts, “That will leave them neither root nor branch.”
Sin and Sinners Finally Destroyed
Satan, the root of every sin, and all evil workers, who are his branches, shall be utterly cut off. An end will be made of sin, with all the woe and ruin that have resulted from it. Says the psalmist, “Thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name forever and ever. O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end” (Psalm 9:5, 6). PP 341
